Happy new year !  I'm starting the new year with a determined plan to de clutter my house, reorganise  the house, garden and hopefully in the process , myself ! Son2 and gf moved out to their own place just before Christmas, so we're now left with daughter 2 and son3 still living at home, and they will be for a long time yet, but even so , who needs 54 towels? Majority of which were threadbare, some were wedding presents...almost 30 yrs ago !   Spendt all of yesterday in our bedroom having a good clear out, clothes, bedding ,towels everything has been checked, some was passed to different charity collections, some was passed to kids, and some was cut up for rags, for cleaning and when all the men folk are tinkering with cars !  Managed to bag 4 new to us doors for cupboard from a friend who is doing some building work to their home, so hopefully at the weekend, the master will grab the power tools and get cracking!
Today has been spendt cooking and surveying what needs to go in the kitchen, which is going to be the hardest job ! I DO love nice dishes and tableware, but clearly don't need to cater for the 5000 everyday , so I will have to be ruthless tomorrow. If finances allow we will try and jazz the kitchen up later in the year, I need a new cooker, the old one is slowly dying, and the floor needs replacing, so while we are doing it, we might try to see if we can redo the whole kitchen, albeit on a very tight budget!  This is the shameful state of my "bakingcupboard". First job tomorrow.....
